Default EPC control

I have a 2001 Tahoe 5.3 and matching year 2001 4L60E transmission LS swapping to a 1989 K5 Blazer.

I want to convert the dual plug throttle body that came on it (2001/2002 DBW style ) to the 2003+ single plug throttle body.

I have the stock 2001 Tahoe 411 ECM RED/BLUE.

The 4L60E has been completely rebuilt. It obviously uses the 99-2002 EPC control.

Will swapping to the newer single plug DBW throttle body, harness and ECM cause shifting issues since the 2003+ ECM is looking for the 2003+ trans? Would I need to purchase all new 2003 EPC setup?

Is this programmable in HP Tuners?

Thank you to anyone that can help.

Better throttle body. Cleaner underhood wiring. Not having the freak year DBW throttle body and I’m OCD.

Are you having any issues with the present TB?

They are different, Manufacturer & Connector....But functionally the same.

The early Holley made EPC is actually a better piece than the later Borg Warner EPC.

Yes, All other solenoids are compatible.
