52mm Shift Light
52mm Shift Light I'm old enough to remember back when LS1s were new and LS1.com was the big forum for folks with the new engines. There was a guy on LS1.com that sold a shift light that fit in the drivers side window vent on 97-02 Trans Am/Camaros. I still have mine. The shift light is set to a given RPM and you had to run a Tach signal wire, 12V and Gnd to the unit. It was really slick and works great. Now I find out that that pin 47 on my P01 ECM can be programmed to do the same function with a simple 52MM light and no expensive RPM signal conditioning required. (Just $500 programming S/W, LOL)
Does anyone make a simple LED light that fits into a 52mm gauge holder? or fits into the side window vent?
I am looking to add a 3 gauge set to my A-Pillar, which precludes my old Hawk's Shiftlight and am thinking about a 52mm light to hook up to my ECM to go with Wideband and Vacuum gauges.
Anyone know of a supplier?
Anyone else interested in buying one (or more) if I can put some together? Should be pretty cheap since all that is needed is a housing, LED light, assortment of bezels/glass covers and (maybe) a relay to drive the light...
