Default Need a pcm for my 96 k1500. 411?

I need do a pcm swap and im pretty sure i need a red/blue 411 pcm. But I'm curious if there is a better option like using the e40, or even the red/green version of the 411. Also.. anyone got one to sell or know where to get the best deal

What motor do you have? Drive by wire? Drive by cable?

Its an l31 from a 98.. electronics are all still factory 96. drive by cable i would assume. Truck was 5.7 originally... But the new 5.7 is built. Hence the tune

Yes i know that. What i didn't know was if a older aetup could be used with a newer ecm. Changing crank trigger or whatver wouldnt ge a problem. I was contemplating coil on plug retrofit just for the hell of it.

Hundreds of pages of 411 swap info for your truck out there. If searching for the info is a challenge...

please by all means... search for "e40 on vortec" and see what you come up with.

unless... jumping to conclusions is a challenge.

A 896/411 is what we recommend, we sell them on our website.

When you go to the mail order tune to check out it gives you an option to add pcm for $100 more.
