Default Testing Crankshaft Position Sensor and Wiring

Hello,

I just did a 0411 Conversion on a car I am working on. I am getting a no spark, no fuel situation and a Code P0355. One of the things I needed to do was extend the CPS wires. I just want to check the wiring to the ECM as well as the sensor itself. What is the best way to approach this. I have voltage at the green wire but past that I am not sure how to test the other 2.

Thanks,

Dan

Does the fuel pump come on when you hit the starter ? If it does then the crank sender is ok as the ecu uses the signal to control fuel pump relay. Steve

I am assuming you are data logging. Are you showing a RPM signal?

Scope it. Signal wire and ground. If your waveform looks good and is making it all the way to the ECM, overlay with CMP waveform and check for proper sync.
