Hassle free live data logger? Hey guys I'm looking for an easy way to monitor some data from the pcm. I have tried some Bluetooth obd scanners like bluedriver but they fail to provide all the data the pcm reads. I want to read my trans temps and short/long term fuel trims. I just want to be able to plug and play and read these two pieces of data without spending 600 bucks on hptuners plus a laptop and without using a bunch of guages.
Anyone have experiences with aeroforce, scanguage, ultraguagemx? Are any of these truly plug and play?
Worth noting it's a 98 Camaro with stock pcm.

Torq is about your best bet for what your wanting to do. You'd need the "Pro" version to use custom data pids but you can get trans temp with the app using a mode 22 pid. Fuel trims can be accessed with mode 1 generic data and would not need to be configured. Torq is setup more for looks then a useful scan tool but it is capable of what your wanting to do. You may find that some Bluetooth device are just not able to access certain pids, I'm not going to name names or point finders at any devices in particualr but just be aware that some deivrs are limited in what they will let you do regardless of what the software is capable of.
I don't know much about "Blue Driver" but I do know it's a closed source device/software so it's trying to lock you into only what they support, since your talking about a 20 year old car it's likely they just don't offer(or care to offer) support for the OEM pids.
