Remote Tuning an LS3 swapped C5
Remote Tuning an LS3 swapped C5 I am interested in having my 2000 C5 6 speed FRC tuned in the next couple of weeks. It's a basic L92/LS3, pretty much stock besides a BTR Stage 2 LS3 cam, springs, longtube headers, cutouts, using the stock LS3 intake manifold with LS2 silver blade throttle body. I'm running a Lingenfelter 58x to 24x converter box so all tuning is done through the stock 2000 PCM.
There is a map flashed to the car from an acquaintance of mine who was running a similar setup on his car, and it drives decently around town under 1/3 throttle. It bogs pretty hard above that, so I'm taking it very easy. The idle does surge when coming to a stop, but it doesn't die. I want to make sure the driveability is great.
I'm in Buffalo and have Standard Suite HPTuners. I would rather try some remote tuning via logs if I can to avoid the trip to a dyno shop as my work schedule is kind of difficult. The only issue would be my lack of a wideband, and I have the Standard Suite of HPtuners. Would I need to purchase those items to make remote tuning work?

I would want a wideband no matter what for peace of mind. Your setup is not crazy, and I'm sure that it can be tuned remotely and be close. Getting all the drivability stuff is what takes time. E-mailing back and forth, making sure you can describe in detail exactly what the car is doing that you want to be changed. I say find someone that does remote tuning and then let them ask the questions and tell you what they need. Also I bet if you can find a local shop that tunes, they can turn your car around really quick. Especially if they have done combos close before.
At this point I'm sure I'll need to purchase a wideband with a 0-5V serial output, so no issue there.
