For the time spent trying to hack together a tune without proper data couldn't one buy injectors with good data? I'm all about working on a budget but certain items simply can't be skipped.
I had incorrect injector data in one of my cars, I fought it forever and the best it ran was like poo. I got injectors with known data and could immediately tell the difference as soon as I fired it up the first time.

People tune cars everyday tht run chinese injectors without data. They can be tuned just takes time, and is mainly a trial and error thing. Most tuners already have data for them from previous tune files.
But injectors with proper data does make a night and day difference!! Drivability is greatly improved!

I wanted to come back to this and ask you guys if you've ever run a custom OS on an E38? Ive done several on 411's but none on the E38. If your looking to tune SD that sounds like the way go vs messing with the VVE. Now that Im done tuning mine on E85 I might as well start over and do a 2.5bar OS lol.
