Default mass air flow

What is the difference in performance of a blade style mass air flow sensor vs. regular round style??

The round style is limited in airflow to whatever diameter it is, where a blade can THEORETICALLY go into any size tube, and tune for it. As far as either one sized correctly for whichever engine it's on, there should be no difference in performance. It's just that the blade type is more flexible in its use.
