Default How much fuel will I need

simple stock 4.8 junk yard build with a small Cam, deka 80's, and 76/65 turbo which I'll run up to about 14# of boost.

i went with a 450 in the tank, thought it should be up to the task but thought I'd ask.

is there a calc to figure out gph needs?

i uses this website's calc for most of my fuel computing. But we run stuff fat in the SBE LS world so I use .75 bsfc for gasoline & water meth and .9 for e85

Sweet, thanks for the calc site. Looks like I'm all set. At 650CHP and .75 bsfc the fuel need is 298lph, the Walboro 450 supports 450lph "free flow" so I'm sure I'll lose something but I don't think it will be more than 10-15%. Guessing 650CHP for my configuration is a bit aggressive as well, probably more like 600CHP at most.

I thought I did the right math a while ago but after I saw your recent post about Pearl and using 2 450's in the tank I thought I better re-check.

so that truck had a triple billet jakes converter and that 1000 hp was with it locked, so essentially there was less than half the usual drivetrain loss % you see with an auto. my guess is that it made about 1200 at the crank.

and while i think 2 450's are fine for a dyno hit, I dont think they would reliably fuel 1000 hp vehicle down a 1/4, at least in the deadheaded configuration I had them. I had plans to rearrange the fuel rails configuration and I think it would have been good to 900 wheel at the track with the regulator after the rails.

one 450 in the tank will do 650 crank on gasoline and methanol, sloppy has proven that combo is dead reliable
