Default Timing @WOT from idle

I recently got my rock crawler running with a stock 5.3 and 4l60e from a 2001 Tahoe. Running speed density with pretty much the equivalent of a CAI and factory exhaust manifolds into a 3" y pipe and a flowmaster muffler. I've tunes the ve a little bit but all the rest of the tune is stock.

It's is an absolute dog off the line...looking at data logs my spark is in the negatives at low rpm right off of idle.

Why does the factory tune have so little timing at the lower rpms and higher air flow? What do I risk damaging if I keep the same timing I run at idle which is 18 degrees down in these low rpm high load areas?

Forgot to mention that I did change the timing and continued the 18 degrees and it really woke the Jeep up!

All the truck tunes have really low timing in the lower rpm higher airflow area. I always add around 10 or more degrees. It really helps alot with lower throttle responce. I usually have mid 20s in the 2000+rpm and tapper toward wot spark area.

Hoe much wot timing u running? Did u copy over your high timing table into the low timing table? With sd it reverts to low timing table.

I copied the high octane table to the low...I left most of the timing alone and just added a bunch in the lowrer room range.
