Default 02 Sierra . Bcm blues

So the headlights started to act up on my trusty 02 sierra . Started intermittently , now no headlight at all . Changed the switch , nothing .
They have power, no ground. Ordered a used bcm off eBay out of a 01 Tahoe . Do I need to go to dealer to have programmed? Any help appreciated, thanks

Yes, if the VIN number programmed to it doesn't match the PCM it will not enable VATS (however you can do a 30 min relearn).
If the BCM comes from a vehicle with the exact same options as yours, there is really no need to reprogram it.
If you want to avoid the dealer cost, install it, do the 30 min relearn and test it. If it works leave it be.

Cool, that’s what I was hoping . My trucks a crew cab , so Tahoe should be pretty close. Lights haven’t worked for 3 days, now the oil pressure gauge is acting funny but they are back on lol
