Default Tap up tap down settings

I have tap up tap down working in a 2007 Miata with a 525hp crate engine and 2015 6l80e.It was purchased as a package with harness and pcm through Zero Gravity in Az. We used the stock Miata automatic steering wheel and shifter. We added a gate to the shifter to enable the transmission to grab D4 which puts it in "Sport" mode. From there just touch any shifter button and the paddles are enabled. Unfortunately the owner feels he cannot live with the lag time between button actuation and the actual shift time. I know GM made some major software changes in 2012 and I have been led to believe I have the proper OS on both pcm and tcm side of things. The owner is not happy with the response time from the paddles. Tune attached.

How much lag time? Seconds? A split second?

Maybe a second or a little more. A split second would be a welcome improvement. Appreciate you weighing in.

If the owner is sweating a second, he's being picky. I bet OEM apps are that slow. Don't know for sure though.
