Default Variable charging system

Hello all I have a 2005 silverado. Is it possible to some how get the variable charging alternator to just target 13.8 all the time. Tired of the variable operation for towing camper. I have EFI Live and can shut down codes or whatever needed. I’m just looking for a consistent voltage all the time.

How is it affecting your towing? There are thousands of people towing with that setup with no problems.

You are after a solution to a nonexistent problem. Good luck.

A simple google search would have given you all the info you need to get a constant voltage alternator setup. Your hostile response to a legitimate question reeks of trolling.

I’m not trolling. I have argued with the other gentleman in the past and preferred not too again. My alternator is new and charging system up to snuff. The engine is aftermarket and my tow haul is used for an alternate set of **** points with no tcc lockup for aggressive driving without a trailer. I was just curious if there was a way to fool the system to stay at 14 to better charge my camper batteries up on my way to and from camping. A lot of mine is done at places where I run off batt or generator and it would be nice. I did google it and the only clear solution was rig it and risk overcharge or switch to previous alternator set up and alter the harness to accommodate which I’m not totally against. Just curious if someone had an alternate method of fooling this system. If this is going to turn into a large argument with people rallying to the defense of G Atsma where I politely asked him not to respond anymore I’ll just delete it.

I picture you as a mid twenty something angry young man lashing out to the ls1tech world while smashing sugary overly processed cakes sitting in your parents basement. Or maybe a middle aged man who ls swapped his 3rd gen with a rats nest for a wire harness and an angry wife always mad wondering why you would ever sink endless amounts of cash into said 3rd gen. Please leave my thread. I’m glad I helped you get your post count up for the day now buzz off.

None of the above. I don't know what I could have said on a previous thread, but you don't take friendly (and it IS that..) advice well.
I picture YOU as a spoiled little kid who kicks and screams when his little show (this thread) does not go according to script. My first post here was friendly and non-abrasive. Yours have not been. And quit thinking of this as YOUR thread. You only started it.
