Default ABS INOP issue

When I've made passes at the track the ABS system would act up and I would get an ABS INOP light. It will reset if you turn the ignition off and back on again but is this something that can be corrected in the tune?. The car has an S60 with traction control and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any suggestions on how to correct this in the DTC's of the tune?

First make sure all connections are good. Under racing conditions something might be disconnecting momentarily.

I double checked them G and they're connected.

Maybe? It happens on the slicks and can't recall it ever happening on the radials.

What we're getting at here is different diameter rubber will throw off the ABS module.

Yes the D10's are 15" rims with the fronts being smaller and the back being bigger.

Okay that makes sense. What can I do to correct this?

ABS-wise, not much. It is made for equal diameter tires. If it can be deactivated would be best.

Agreed! I went through the trap at 125 and felt like I needed every bit of the strip to slow it down.

Yup same issue here before I deleted mine. It doesn't know that the tires are different sizes, but if it reads the fronts going faster than the back or vise versa it will think there is a lock up situation causing the brakes to pulse and make it so u can't slow

How do you delete the ABS just remove the system from the car?

Look up sjm manufacturing. That's what most use and I did too but I don't like it due to all the glaring. U delete the abs block and add in t fittings to connect the rear lines to the single rear master line and sane for the front.

If i did it again I would get a delete block. Burkhart sells it but there is a much much cheaper one out there but you have to Google to find it. The blocks are nice because no flaring required. The average Joe can install without anything more than a few flare wrenches
