MAF Performance Code, 05 Tahoe 5.3 -> 4.8 swap Mother has a 05 Tahoe with 250k. Original 5.3 was using a lot of oil and had bad lifters. Earlier this year, swapped in a 40k mile 4.8 in. Engine runs excellent, uses no oil and is fine on the 5.3 tune. Only issue is a P101 MAF performance code. I am assuming because the PCM is expecting to see 5.3 air volume but the smaller 4.8 is using less.
Only true goal is for this thing to pass NYS inspection in the coming months. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with it's current status. Any suggestions on where to send it or who to send it out to?

The 5.3 and 4.8 tune use the same MAF table. Of course there are other tables that are different but I would try cleaning the maf and check to make sure you dont have any air leaks on intake setup.
