Im doing my first swap. I have the engine running great. But it wants to die or stump when i press on the brakes or after hard acceleration. But when disconnect the maf it runs great and idles better. I already swap out the maf 3 different times . Also project not finished. I havent connected the 02 sensors yet. Would that make the maf act funny? Its all at startup. Havent taken it for a long test run yet.

The MAF needs the O2 sensors to operate.

So even at warmup and idle it still needs the o2 sensors? I thought after it went to close loop is when the 02 sensor are used. . Still very new to tunning. Thanks

On warmup, I'm not sure the MAF is used. O2 sensors are used nearly all the time.
Get the O2 sensors going.
