2010 Silverado Intermittent No Start
Hi all,
I'm helping a friend's son try to figure out a couple weird things his 2010 Silverado LTZ 5.3 auto truck is doing.
1. Sometimes he'll try starting it, nothing will happen. 15 minutes later it turns on but the starter stays engaged for a couple seconds after the engine starts.
2. Sometimes when cruising and going uphill, giving the truck a little throttle results in what seems like the truck shifts into neutral.
His son lives out in Ponca City, OK which is about 10 hours from where I am otherwise I'd plug in and do some scanning. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could cause this, or ways to troubleshoot? I'm guessing maybe a shifter or safety switch intermittent issue, but wanted to see if there were any other thoughts.
Thanks!
