98 c5 with p59 ecu fuel level fix My fuel gauge doesn't work following swapping my 98 c5's ecu for a P59 to enable flex fuel. I know the values I need to change but I don't honestly know which tool to use. Does anyone know if I can use a tech 2 AND/OR HPtuners to change the tables for fuel level(ie. Full and empty resistances, tank volume, etc.) Or if only the Tech 2 will work. Looking to order just HPtuners if possible but want to know if I should grab the Tech 2 if it's the only one that'll do it. If anyone has a guide on how to specifically do it/find those tables on the associates tool please let me know as well.
I am ONLY going off memory here, but I believe everything can be adjusted on HP Tuners on the fuel level. I can look later when I have more than my phone. I do not believe that Tech II can adjust what you need done. You just need to pull the factory settings and dump them in your current p59/tune and I believe that will get you sorted out. Who ever did your tune should be able to do it easier and cheaper than buying HPT unless you're just looking to learn.

supposedly it's been tried before and previous owner couldnt get it to work. a couple local shops all wanted 250+ minimum to do it. at that point it was worth tryin to do myself. hptuners will be here tonight so i'm gonna ty it out and see. from what i've gained i may have to cut wire to pin 56 or deal with it since 98 had the 2 tanks.

Pcm data The p59 is currently on a 2005 GMC Yukon XL 5.3 v8 when seen by hptuners. Here are pictures of the fuel tables compared (p59 left and 98 c5 stock file right)
