Z28 1998 Trouble with my 1998 z28 . I recently installed 2000 engine and harness with ecm and transmission in this 1998 car runs and drives. .however no dash guages are working . what am I missing to make this work in my 1998 car. I tried to have GM dealer flash ecm told me they couldn't do it. Wtf. ! AutoZone says give an ecm and vin to car they program it to the vin . Will this work or am I waisting my time. And money. Any help much appreciated

Do a search in this forum on converting the 98 to the 411 pcm (1999-2002 years). The search will get you most if not all the answers to get the gauges and the conversion to work. The gas gauge for example requires a segment swap from a ecm ( a van as I recall). Some swap the harness from the 99-2002 and others swap all of the wires from the 98 red and blue plug to match the correct pin assignment for the 99-2002. In any case, you will find everything you need to know and do when you run the search.
