Ordered HP Tuner MPVI2
Look forward to yet another journey of learning what I can do to my car.
Background for those that havnt followed me on my Turbo build, I've got a tall order but I have a feeling I can do this. stock ls1 with gt45 turbo pushing 10-14 psi, 255 walbro maybe a 450 later, 60lbs injectors with 80lbs on standby, water/meth injection, 3800 stall, stock 2.73 rear end.
Car runs with current setup, i just need to adjust the tune since it was tuned for a rear mounted t76 before moving everything upfront and it was running rich then.
here's what I've pulled from my car so far. havnt had a chance scan run it yet, but I saved my current tune as a starting point.
main VE table of current tune

Just because you set the Power Adder table to e.g. 1.25 for 25% extra fuel at high throttle doesn't mean you will actually get it; fuel delivery or injector limitations could run you much leaner than expected and then you go "BOOM".

Does your WB have an analog output? If not you might need one that does, or a serial. I’m not familiar with that particular WB.
If you haven't looked, Chopperdoc has some great videos to get you going and is a super helpful guy to boot!
I think I will go ahead and spring for the proline and see if I can get the Innovate MTX WB hooked up to the prolink first before I decide to get another WB.
I'm slowly learning. As soon as I can start data logging on the street, I will have more data to post. However, I did switch from the intank pressure regulator to a boost referenced FPR, so I know I need to adjust the fuel pressure externally and internally. once I get comfortable with the 60lb injectors and the 255 walbro, I'm gonna switch up to 80lbs injectors and 450 walbro I have on standby.
I now have a Dominator which directly supports wideband sensors, but I now have two widebands in each bank - one for the Dominator, one for my gauges. Having the two gauges has been helpful in quickly diagnosing problems like a broken plug wire (gauge shows supper lean because of the unused oxygen).
If you anticipate needing extra O2 sensors, plan for it and weld in more bungs before installing the exhaust system.
- Digital display in AFR or Lambda
- 52mm (2 1/6”) diameter gauge body
- Built-in Direct Digital™ Wideband Controller reduces wiring and simplifies installation
- Wideband O2 Sensor is compatible with all fuel types (Leaded, Unleaded, Diesel, Methanol, E85, etc)
- Ability to calibrate O2 sensor for increased accuracy
- (2) Configurable linear 0-5v analog output for wideband O² for use with piggy back or stand alone ECU’s as well as external data loggers
- Interchangeable faceplates and bezels: Black and silver bezel, black and white faceplates included
- Large digital readout and programmable “Digital Needle” provides the functionality of a needle style gauge with the pinpoint accuracy of a digital display
- Datalog using LogWorks on your PC
- Innovate MTS serial in/out (for use with other Innovate & 3rd party MTS enabled devices to add additional logging channels)
Hook the serial out to a USB adapter, plug it in, add a channel, go to serial ports, select which 02 sensor you have. BAM, done.
I finally found my cable link to the MTX WB in my old box. My computer actually still has a serial plug in (bought it in 2010) but ill look into getting a USB serial adaptor so I can upgrade the computer as well.

I actually started thinking about this yesterday after a couple of posts.
I originally bout the MPVI2 and was going to run the WB through the EGR on my 00' T/A. I ended up buying the Prolink and upgrading to Pro so I can tune my buddies car. Then I realized I could just use serial WB.
So I can not say, one way or the other if you can use the standard MPVI2 and use serial WB or not.
I've made the comment several times this week and now I wish I had not, because the way things worked out for me...well I don't know if you can or not.

Shoot me a PM if I can help you set it up.
Found the list of channels within the Scanner portion. not sure if i newded all of them but i added them all to thw scanner channel so I can see something. not sure if I need to calibrate it but we will see.
So yes its an MTX-L, not sure if theres a difference in the letter designatiins but here we are.
found my gauge cable. brand new fromnwhen i got it back in 2013.
After some digging, finally found the channl list. Its in scanner not editor lol
And the drop down list to select your specific gauge or port. For me it was the innovate serial port, but as you can see, plenty of other gauges in there to pick from.
