New stage 2 cam and AC Hey gang, I installed a Tick Performance SNS stage 2 cam kit and headers on my swap. My buddy has exact same motor with same cam so I used his tune for mine. The car runs fantastic! The issue I'm having is that it's now getting hot out and the cam doesn't like my vintage air system. When the motor was stock it took about a block or two of driving for the motor to learn the load change and compensate for it. With the new cam the first time I came to a light with the air on the motor stalled on me. Started it right up and I upped the idle rpm on my tune to 950rpm and it was better but still not great. I turned my throttle plate adjustment screw up a little to give the motor more access to air and it helped but still not perfect.
I guess my question is are most of you with AC and a decent cam using the AC request signal so the idle will go up with air on? I've never needed to use the AC request on a stock motor swap they always learn and compensate just fine.
If you are running a cam and AC how did you change your tune to get around this?

My tuner hasn't seen the car in years and there's been changes. I'm having the same issue with my 01 M6 car when I run the AC and I found that when I'm easy on the car it doesn't stall as much..

After turning up my throttle blade screw a little I unplugged my TPS and turned the key on for a minute or so and then turned it off and plugged my TPS back in so 0% throttle is relearned. It seems to be working much better then it was now.
