Tuning questions 3.90 gears an Idle
I just bought My 02 trans am m6 car. Well the car came tuned to 3.90 gear but have not been installed yet, so it's still running on the 3.42. Will this cause any issues with Acceleration or anywhere else for that matter. Just seems to not pull as hard as one would think for the mods.
Next question: it has a 226/236 duration 600 lift at 110 lsa cam in it. Idles around 800-900 with AC on it seems to be a little higher with it off. But when coming to a stop is almost dies because rpms drop to low. Do yall think it needs Retuned or could the be a issue somewhere im missing.

The speedo is Definitely set as if it was 3.90 gears. ik this by my speedo being at 70 an the car going closer to 80. I found a Online calculator that would till the speed difference between the gear ratio.

Well my guess would be to tell the tuner im going to put 3.90 gears in so can you tune it for that?

You tune an existing setup. You can't tune what ain't there yet.

Therr really isn't any tuning involved for a gear change on an m6 car, it just corrects the speedo. But if you dont actually have the gears in and the ecm was programmed for the 3.90s it will affect some speed related parameters but i doubt it would make the idle worse. Sounds like it just needs a retune in general.
