LS1 5.7 timing problem?
you stated the engine was a ls1 out of a 99.... fbody or vette?
check your grounds. Both coil pack main plugs have a ground wire. What painless harness are you running? Part number if you have it.
how are you able to tell that the coils are dropping fire?
I am using the GM #12560228 Crank Sensor and GM #12561211 Cam sensor. When it’s Idling I pull 1 plug wire from coil pack at a time and I have fire. When I start throttling up the fire goes away on 2,4,5,and 7. It’s like the ECM is taking fire away to protect the engine. And it did the same exact thing with the original Harness and ECM. And I also changed the Coil packs all to GM OEM. It’s baffling to me. I’m an old school Mechanic. I’ve also pulled the timing chain cover and made sure the cam and crank were lined up right. ?????
