LS1 5.3 PCM and LS3 cam sensor?

LS1 5.3 PCM and LS3 cam sensor?

Still on the fence of trying out terminator X as I run a fitech ultimate LS on my turbo 5.3 firebird and it works great... so much better than HP tuners. But I just inherited my dads 78 Vette which is a mess and needs a lot of work. I have a spare 5.3 and I left over torqstorm supercharger, new LS9 cam on the shelf and a LS3 timing cover with sensor. So I threw it all together and now I’m wondering about saving the coin for the terminator X or just throwing on the stock 99 5.3 PCM which I used to run a supercharger 5.3 before. Never really enjoyed HP tuners and I’m an average tuner.

So I got the engine put together and now I’m looking at the LS3 cam sensor and my LS1 5.3 cam sensor plug. I have a LS3 cam sensor extension harness that converts to an LS1 left over from the fitech EFI that I didn’t need. It plugs right into both the cam and stock harness. I see that wires are flipped on the plus and I read somewhere that’s necessary? Also I heard that the LS1 sensor uses a 12v reference and the LS3 uses a 5v reference? Is that something I need to worry about or should I just plug the LS3 adapter into my stock LS1 harness and just move on?
