VATS and BCM

VATS and BCM Have a 99 camaro z28. Trying to do the VATS bypass. Have all 15 resistors but I don't know the value of the key since the key I'm using is from a junkyard. Question is how will I know I have installed the right resistor? Will the security light go away once I install the correct resistor? Or Will the car crank right up?

I'm no expert on this, but I've done a ton of searching as I have my own VATS/BCM issue posted above. If you have a multi voltmeter (I have a dirt cheap one off Amazon) under the driver dash where the ignition wires (the 2 white wires) come down to the connector that runs to the BCM (purple and white/black stripe wire) where you would insert said resistor, you can measure the ohm resistance in the 2 white wires when the key is on, and that would tell you what resistor level your key is... again, I'm a newb but I think this would work
