HP Tuners bad experience
We ship china millions of tons of high sulfur coal, no market for it in North america.. And they burn it to melt scrap, and make power....
The Litium mine in Afghanistan is now about the same size as the Anaconda copper mine, Anaconda is over 100 years old, the mine in Afghanistan is like a decade old.
(the original anaconda pit has been over-run by another open pit mine.. )
The battery pack in my Tesla likely has the carbon footprint of a 747 if you factor in all the Diesel power/electrical power/resources to get the Lithium out of the ground.
I cant find all the numbers but I believe we would run out of Lithium that's not crazy hard to mine before we would run out of oil. We shall see..

Imo electric cars and the push for is nothing but a giant wealth redistribution scheme. China and India are vulger in terms of pollution. The US isn't the problem same as we petty hot rod guys and even the dumb *** coal rolling ******.
the EPA does a heck of a lot more than police tuners. i agree, getting them to lay off the 0.0001% of people that tune a car they own would be nice.
the epa mandating all the rules to manufacturers basically forces everyone that only sees cars as a point a to point b necessary evil now minimally effect pollution.
the other topics outside the borders of the US i 100% agree with but the reality is nobody can do anything about it. theres a really interesting book called the outlaw ocean (https://www.theoutlawocean.com/) that does a bit of a deep dive on modern times in international maritime law and where it all stands. its a fascinating if not depressing topic.

There are free alternatives for tuning the P01 and P59 PCMs (Gen III LS) and people are working on E38, E40, E67 and others.

I do think that the logging ability leaves a lot to be desired. If the taxtrix cable had the ability to do standalone logging It would have help the open source community.
i didnt think the tactrix was of any use with LS stuff, but i have a 2.0 that i used to log standalone on my evo with, it was great.
I have one too that I used on my WRX. The standalone logging is the best part.

But my needs are pretty simple compared to others..
