Hello guys, I tuned a lot of NA cars, but i dont know much about supercharger tune (boost), this is the things that i changed so let me know if i did something wrong or bad please 1- Installing a new Map sensor 2BAR
2- Changing the OS to 2BAR
3- Increasing timing on the spark table 1 degree to 1 psi
4- Increasing the VE table
5- Editing the Power and Boost Enrichment tables

My car is LS gm LQ9 block LS3 heads stock cam

Search this forum for ChopperDoc tutorials. He has a tutorial explaining initial tables to setup for boost.

Note: if you made an engine swap - make sure to change the cylinder volume values before you start changing the VE table.

So you increased timing for boost? I hope that's a typo. I can't look at your files since I'm not on my home computer. Your list seems like you addressed the bare minimums for setting it up, other than normally we pull timing under boost. Anything that increases pressure won't respond well to more timing (which is also pressure). So by increasing you are compounding pressure essentially. This will probably cause knock, or worse.

I appreciate the support from other forum members too for recommending my videos. You can find that link in my signature. There is also a physics video I suggest you watch that covers all of the concepts if you are unsure. You want to watch out on your boost compression ratio, IAT's, fuel type, AFR, and spark settings. Those are typically the biggest reasons people blow their motors apart.

i meant decrease not increase my bad

so for now do you think this is a good base start tune for Boost, now i will watch my afr to let it on 11.3-11.7 range, and watching the timing for any knock !

You don't mention what type fuel pressure regulator you are using. The reason for asking is because your IFR table is sloped. Typically with forced induction the IFR table is flat with the same value in each kPA cell in the IFR table. You change the values in the table based on recommendations from the fuel injector vendor. There are other values that are changed in the tune as well in other tables. The reasons why are explained in the articles in the links below.

There are a ton of articles on line explaining how an FPR works when the engine is NA and/or run with forced induction. As you will read, the amount of fuel and pressure required when in boost compared to when not making boost can be significant depending upon the amount of boost.

Here are a few:

https://www.turbosmart.com/news/how-does-an-fpr-work/
https://www.vaporworx.com/resources/...re-regulators/

As explained above, you will need to change your tune based upon which type of regulator you are using. What you don't want to do,IMO, is to leave the IFR table sloped if you are using a vacuum referenced FPR.

Some on this forum will suggest that static fuel pressure doesn't matter much when running low boost and that you can adjust for fuel pressure and volume in the tune. The link below suggests otherwise (page 3).

https://aeromotiveinc.com/wp-content...c_Boost_01.pdf

Tip scientific rule: When you increase pressure you reduce volume. As a result fuel line size is important as fuel pressure increases.

What size injector? Values in IFR table seems low based on a 6.0 on boost.

Injector size is 52lb , I'm using Aeromotive fuel regulator

The injector Data ( Flow rate, Limits, Offset,...) I didn't change it yet but I will change it later, I'm only want to know about the other things If I do it right, and the IFR table where is I cant find it !

You don't say what supercharger, not that it matters much, but more importantly how much boost, what fuel, and if it's intercooled. 52# injectors won't go very far on fuel. If you start getting into any E you really are going to want to watch your IDC and fuel pressure.

My supercharger is Procharger Vortech V2, I'm going for 6-7 PSI of boost, Fuel is gasoline, and its Intercooled, I'm going for like 450-500 hp, Is there is any problem in my tune? or I must change something! if you see anything wrong or bad tell me

Is this tune actually for a car or are you just trying to learn how to tune virtually? What car, year, and model?

Did you miss the "or" in your statement "My supercharger is Procharger Vortech V2"? You are going to have to choose one or the other. IMO the intercooler(s) for the Procharger P1 or D1 are more efficient than the Vortech intercooler.

My car is Nissan Patrol Y61 engine swap to 6.0 denali 2001 (LQ9 blcok, LS3 head),The intercooler is Mishimoto (3 inch), not the original intercooler that came with the Procharger Vortech

In the attachment files (before boost) it was the actually tune for the car NA before I install the Procharger, and after I install the Procharger I've done some changes to the actually tune, you will see it in the attachment files (after boost), and I Don't know if the changes is good or bad ! So I post it her to see if there is something wrong with the tune
