Question about MAF logging in an M6
I have some questions about driving around getting logs for MAF tweaking in a 6 speed.
1. When I slow down, should I stay off of the clutch, or always push the clutch in? My AFR goes anorexia lean if I stay off of the clutch, but if I keep the clutch in, it seems to recover pretty quick.
2. Is highway or surface street driving better, half and half, 25/75...... ?
3. Is it better to use the HP Tuners "multiply by % minus half" or create a spreadsheet that converts it to take smaller steps, like 1/4, or 1/5, or even 1/10?
Make sure DFCO (deceleration fuel cutoff) is disabled.
If enabled on decell the wideband goes off the chart lean reading --- --- ---- dashes which will correlate in the VCM scanners data.
As for driving when collecting data for scaling MAF...
I like doing normal driving around town and on the hwy. After I've flashed, rinsed, repeat... I'll go out and do slow acceleration up to where PE is set to kick in, lets say to 3000 RPM through each gear then letting off the throttle. This will hit those cells that you don't hit during normal driving. This data is good for slowly accelerating up without going WOT and into PE.
