Tune until dyno, mostly safe?
So, system is a megasquirt 2. Pretty basic unit, nothing crazy.
Engine is....
Aluminum 5.3
-8cc dish pistons
826 heads, milled 0.030" (I think decimal is in the right place), and hand ported to remove swirl ramp, and rocker bump, slight opening on intake. Exhaust stock, because... i was worried. lol
LS6 intake manifold
52# injectors
TSP 228R cam @ 112 LSA
light flywheel (not sure if this matters)
LS9 lifters
PAC 1219 beehive springs
New bearings throughout engine, new piston rings
Any glaring issues seen or things to watch out for on this tune? The VE is still getting tuned. Challenging to really tune certain areas w/o a dyno, and without getting pulled over.
Driving, it feels good. No bucking, quick response on throttle, and pulls hard.
Open to any suggestions, or tips. Idle is ~42kPA @ 850-900 RPM. Due to being MS2, it's batch fire.
