PCM tuning with Android ?
What happened to/with the guy doing open source- freeware tuning with Android platform ?
Anyone here able to do roadside timing/ VE changes with a smartphone plus cheap-o bluetooth OBD2 interface ?
I dont need to do complete PCM re-write while on the road, but it would be pretty cool to add or pull a few degrees from the spark advance map, or move shift points or change converter lockup speed while towing, etc.

Still working on it as far as I know. Looks like they released a new version

Hello,
I don't believe this system currently supports the "Real Time Tuning" that you desire above in post #1. Most of their concentration these days focuses on support for new PCM variants and better automation in the creation of "XDF" files for wider PCM operating systems.
Nevertheless, I take nothing away from the outstanding work they've done. They have saved me a lot of money and I've learned things that I would never have learned any other way. And not once have I bricked one of my assortment of what used to be nine spare PCM devices though their "Universal Patcher" program did rescue me from a self-inflicted checksum error.
Yea, OK, I admit I'm a PCM Hoarder.
Rick
