Such a thing as cheap VCM Suite?
Is there a cheaper way to get VCM Suite? I'm trying to use PCM Hammer with my J2534 cable that I use for Toyota TIS TechStream but I get "vin query failed". I did order to see if that'll fix the issue. Last year I paid Chuck from Corvette of Westchester to tune my 02 Corvette after I installed a cam, and I just found out that he made some terrible choices when tuning my car, specifically my transmission. In fact I got the car back with my transmission being bad and I had to put another one in. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c5-general/4673038-new-cam-and-tune-getting-horrible-gas-mileage-2.html#post1605717503 I just want to turn back on total lock up on my transmission as well as some safety features he turned off for the trans. He also turned off closed loop, which can't be good for my performance let along gas mileage. At this point I want to learn how to tune my car myself but I already spent $1k for Chuck that I'm not likely to ever get back. So for now I just want to flip some switches back on to prevent my trans going bad... again, and turn back on closed loop.

Success! I got the cable today and was able to get a copy of the tune. Now to make the changes. Everyone uses TunerPro to make changes? Hey it works on Linux through wine. I can't do anything until I find a XDF file that matches my OS which is OS ID: 12221588. Anyone know where I can download this file? If someone could take the time to look at my tune and see what changes could be done to make it better. This was done by Chuck so I don't know if he just copied and pasted a tune from another car. My setup has a Brian Tooley BTR Stage 2 Cam 227/238 .620"/.605" 113.5LSA with long tube headers, ported and polished 241 heads, and Varamram Cold Air Intake. It also has a 3200 ProTorque torque converter. Besides the other stuff I want turned back on.

Here is an XDF for the 12221588 OS. I also went trough your BIN and turned the torque management back on, adjusted your shift speeds and torque converter lockup settings and turned closed loop back on.

Holy crap, thanks. Were you able to see what tune was done to the engine like air fuel and timing? I know Chuck adjusted the timing which I'm not sure if I should mess with that since it was meant for my cam setup, but I think the air fuel is left alone? Either way I'm flashing this to my car tomorrow. I definitely want to make my own adjustments but I got a lot to learn.

Was looking at the tune and was wondering if I can mimic what Legitstreetcars did with his C5 getting more power and 40mpg? Do I just increase AFR from the 14.42 I see? I want to have more horsepower and eat less cake while I'm at it.

I wanted to ask about the TCC table. I assume normal is what changes how total lockup works? Why is TCC disabled after I assume 117 MPH in 4th gear? Is that the default value? Also what's performance mode and hot mode?

I havent been in a Fbody in a while but if there is a performance shift button those tables will be used for that, or in a truck it is the tow haul button.
Hot mode should be a default passed a certain fluid temp

Its not disabled after 117, it just will not lock up after 117mph if your throttle percent is over 81%

@@Pulse_GTO I have made a log and it doesn't seem like fuel trim is working. I have made logs, though incomplete. I checked TunerPro and can't see what's making it not go into closed loop. I do get a voltage reading from the O2's but that wasn't logged. Still learning how to do this. Could disabling engine codes prevent closed loop? Do I need to unplug the battery and let it discharge and plug it back in?

I haven't done anything since you made the changes.
