Default PCM compatibility with DBW

I have this pcm out of a 99 2500
I was gonna keep DBC but space inside is limited so considering DBW.

Will this PCM support an OS with DBW?
Thanks

All 896/411 PCM's will work with either drive by wire, or drive by cable, the PCM simply needs programmed correctly.

Miny-are you sure of that? I've heard that there are additional drivers in those PCM's that are set up to run DBW engines... and that DBC PCM's don't have the additional drivers inside so therefor cannot be made to run DBW.. Just what I've read.. If what I've read is wrong, I'd surely appreciate knowing that so I'm not quoting misinformation.

He is correct. The later PCM's are the ones you have to look closely at.

Confirmed it could. Same part number used in the trucks with dbw from 00-02.

Thanks everyone

got the dbw components on the way. Now just need to source the connectors for TB to add to my harness

Yeah the P59 (green/blue) are the ones that you really have to look at the service number. not all of them will do either.

Default All are DBW

All of the 0411 style Pcm are DBW compatible. Only SOME are DBC compatible. Those have another chip in them for the IAC.
