LS3 DBW issue I’m having with my ride…
Hi…I built my 69 Camaro SS from an empty shell by myself… I used a JEGS LS3/525 crate motor with everything pedal/harness etc..and a Tremic 6 and this has happened to me now 4 times , the first three times it wasn’t a big deal I just pulled to the side.. but yesterdays wasn’t fun because I was first car in the turn lane with a long line behind me…what happens is I’ll be driving along or like yesterday I guess coasting to the stop light ..and all of a sudden I have no acceleration pedal the car just idles pedal does zero.. so I’m not losing any car controls just have no gas . Thru my experiences I found that if I disconnect the negative cable for a few seconds and rehook it will start working again and these events occurred with quite a bit of time in between them with various lengths of time ...this time I checked to see if it thru a code and it did a P2138…throttle/pedal position sensor switch “D”/‘E” voltage correlation..what ever that means..lol..and I wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if so how I go about fixing this problem any ideals where to start would be appreciated…and I do have the freeze data from the scanner if necessary…thanks..
HI, I have had the same thing happen (not while driving though) I have no pedal and I get a similar code. I THINK I have fixed it by "retracing" the wires (6 wires) from the ECM to the physical pedal connector. it did appear that one connector was not completely connected & after revisting the 2 connection points for the wires I believe it is fixed. I have not had the issue show since. in short I would recheck all the wire connections & unplug/replug each one to make sure there is a good connection & then try again, if after that it still shows up then it might be a physical part ??
good luck & please update as you go...
