Default LS3 in F-Body -- Knock Sensor issues

I am using LS3 style knock sensors in my motor. My tuner used an adapter (I think 2 wire to 1 wire?) and then activated them but they kept triggering codes about 2 days into driving the vehicle and it would then drive like crap. After deactivating them, it would drive normal again, no more codes. I read somewhere that an F-Body PCM has to be re-pinned in order to accept the LS3 style sensors. Is this true? if so, which pins have to be swapped?

Throw the ls3 sensors out and get some ls1 sensors. You’ll have to resize/thread the holes in sides of block, but this is the way. Not sure why they sell that damn harness as our ecu can’t do the ls3 sensor.

And yes, I know there’s the selection on hp tuners, but it never works right.

there is a nice extension harness out there that lets you run the ls1 sensors on sides of block and extends the cam sensor to front cover as well. Pay attention to the cam sensor wiring though as it’s reversed from ls1 to 3. Most harness will already do this, but some don’t.
