Default Trying to get more Power with HP Tuners

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some wisdom from some guys who have experience in the area of tuning the computer. I just had a cam kit put in my 2002 6 speed Formula. I had the car tuned using HP tuners. The car runs great. I did not put it on the dyno for the tune however. Would I get more power out of it if I put in on the dyno, or did I get all the power I can using the HP program without the dyno? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Putting it on a dyno won't give you more power, it will only tell you what your power level is at. If your tune was done correctly then unless you upgrade more parts then you won't see more power

A tuning shop with a dyno likely can extract more power. Likely the tuner didn't have wideband O2 sensors installed in your exhaust and is therefore "guessing" at WOT parameters. Also may have been conservative with the ignition timing. If you could get a copy of the post to share here and tell us which cam kit was installed, we could likely give you a better answer.

I'm guessing your current tune is pretty conservative because the tuner couldn't refine it or validate it on a dyno. If I'm right, a dyno tune will get you a bit more power.

I'd lean toward getting it tuned on a dyno anyhow. I'd at least want confirmation that the engine and tune really are behaving the way they're supposed to at full throttle and high RPM.
