Crank relearn
Crank relearn Trying to do a crankshaft relearn on my 2005 2500hd 6.0. Issue is it revs all the way to 5500 limit. It should fuel cut at 4000rpm . I've done relearn on multiple other ls vehicles no issue. Reason for the relearn is p0300 and flashing cel at highway speeds only. What am I missing? Thanks.

I had this same issue on my '06 Silverado, and I had the same problem when I did it. I was using an older Snap On scanner to do it, and I am pretty sure my issue was that I forgot to press the brake down when I did the relearn. Maybe this will help you, maybe not.

I have never seen a crank re-learn fix that issue. I'd check intake gaskets first.

It 100% fixed my problem. Was getting P0300 at highway speeds, nothing would fix it. Did the crankshaft variation learn and the code went away and never came back, and that was close to 10,000 miles ago.
