Default Crank relearn

Trying to do a crankshaft relearn on my 2005 2500hd 6.0. Issue is it revs all the way to 5500 limit. It should fuel cut at 4000rpm . I've done relearn on multiple other ls vehicles no issue. Reason for the relearn is p0300 and flashing cel at highway speeds only. What am I missing? Thanks.

I had this same issue on my '06 Silverado, and I had the same problem when I did it. I was using an older Snap On scanner to do it, and I am pretty sure my issue was that I forgot to press the brake down when I did the relearn. Maybe this will help you, maybe not.

I have never seen a crank re-learn fix that issue. I'd check intake gaskets first.

you'd be surprised. All of the 5.3 and 6.0 with the issue of p0300 at above 60mph has always been a crank relearn or maf.

It 100% fixed my problem. Was getting P0300 at highway speeds, nothing would fix it. Did the crankshaft variation learn and the code went away and never came back, and that was close to 10,000 miles ago.

MAF could see see that all day. I have seen bad maf or leaking intake gaskets more than anything.

I would have lost money on that bet. I would have bet it wouldnt have changed anything. That's awesome that fixed it, defiantly going to remember that for the future.
