Northstar swap help I have searched here, and other sites with no success stories. I am posting here because there’s a lot of knowledge on this site. I am planning a RWD conversion in my Prius, and I am between a Buick 3800 series II and a Northstar V8.
Do any of you folks have any experience or luck cracking a Northstar PCM with HP tuners or PCM Hammer? I am only wanting to delete vats and simple stuff, not really after tweaking any tables. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Don't take my word for it, but I believe there is pretty much no support or the Northstar PCM. I know Northstar performance can do some tuning, maybe even remove VATS.
Other than that, this is one of the few times I might suggest an aftermarket ECU

You guys are correct, HP Tuners does support the Northstar engines. From what I understand they use a E67 pcm, which is what alot of later GM vehicles use? I posted on the HP tuners site and some folks over there answered my questions.
If it does happen, I will be getting a bunch of criticism lol. Hot rod ran an article years ago on them and it’s always been a thought for me.
There is potential there I believe, BUT it’s hard to beat an LS for simplicity and reliability.
