Tcm tuning and California emissions testing
Trying to find some first hand knowledge if a TCM having it's shift points changed will that cause a failed Calif SMOG inspection? I'm reading about no alterations to the ECU, but does that include the TCM?
I'm looking to swap a rear diff on a 2013 Caprice PPV with one from a 5th gen Camaro and everything I'm reading says it needs to have the TCM "tuned" to make work with the ECU.
Don't want fail smog over something this silly.
And yes, California can be a pita.
