Installed engine now it won’t run Have a ls1 in a 97 camaro,was running but with idle issues sometimes on cold start had to give it gas for a minute to stay running.put a rebuilt motor and you have to give it gas to keep it running,it’s dumping gas in the cyl. Black smoke. The motor was broke in on a dyno useing thier fuel computor wireing ect and ran good. My map, maf voltage is good,tuned by MailOrder tuners. Been messing with it for a month.won’t run long enough to get a code, would wash everything by that time anyway.
I’ll recheck my harness connections it’s sliced in which isn’t great the harness is a f- body.
Any way to check cam sensor voltage?
No vaccume leaks, did reuse 500 mile intake gaskets though.

It will start and run without the cam sensor, just sometimes on the second hit. The cam sensor's only mission in life is telling the ECM when #1 is on the firing stroke, but the ECM figures that out if cam sensor is DOA or MIA.

Got it running found a loose crimp in the pcm power suply wire, cleaned the battery posts,installed new plugs the old ones were black, don’t know what was wrong,it still wants to stall a little on cold idle.I guess you have comb through things,
