Does anyone do a full rebuild on BCMs?
I'm getting intermittent power issues with my radio, windows and top. From my discussions, in FB FBody groups, the consensus is that the BCM is taking a ****. I watched the videos, on the typical fix, but since I have it out, I figured I'd have it fully rebuilt. Is this an option? Does anyone replace the Resistors, Capacitors, Transistors, Diodes, ect.?
Do you know if there's anyone that offer a service, for a proper resolder, for the typical issues? I have nerve damage in my hands, and trying to do something like this, that is so micro, I don't want to take the chance and **** it up even more.
I'd reach out to the very talented GM instrument cluster repair people on You Tube if I had a must fix bad BCM - "JeffEscortLX" on You Tube is VERY good at repairing modern instrument panel clusters at the board level. The "FixedUntilBroken" guy on You Tube is also very skilled with these kinds of repairs.
