Short back ground 96 firebird 6cyl complete ls1 swap body harness engine harness all wiring from donor 99 trans am motor tore down hot tanked ballanced all new every thing 243 heads completely gutted new springs trunion brass upgrade fast 92 intake nick williams throttle body no reused parts on motor all new upgraded transmission performabuilt level 3 4l60e circle d converter on and on when tuning everything went perfect except ecu is not commanding shift at wot . The ecu was not from origunal donor car so had to find another which was from a manual car is it possible there is missing data on ecu being that is was for a manual car ? Any help would be greatly appreciated . Before the usual chime ins all grounds have been checked over and over all grounds cleaned and properly attached when i say all i dont just mean engine harness grounds i mean body harness ect thank u in advance .
The Tune in the PCM needs to be setup as an Auto, and ofcourse the Harness wired correctly. Then from there it needs to be properly tuned.
If it is setup as an Auto, then the Shift Tables need to be touched up and set right. Takes some time playing with them especially if it's an aftermarket Convertor that spins up faster. WOT Shift is probably set you're just bouncing the limiter and it needs to be brought down either the speed or the RPM.

tables have been lowered but still bouncing off limiter speed and rpm both . lap top is showing no command maybe worth mentioning that the stall is 3400 the harness is oen gm harness from a 99 trans am auto wiring is all correct all of the wiring there is zero aftermatket thats why i went oem its allot easier to switch the body harness, engine harness i feel weve been on top of everything you have mentioned .for me thats common sense but i do want all input. ive been playing with 93-02 cars since they came out ive never had this happen
Most times you will need to do a segment swap from an OS that started as an auto, or a "write entire" with an OS that was a factory auto calibration. If you get a matching OS that started as an auto, a segment swap of the transmission segment should be all that is needed other than the usual tuning. Just flipping the switch from manual to auto in a manual calibration rarely if ever actually works. There are too many background processes that will not be properly changed.

that sounds where im leaning being it was an m6 pcm we were leaning toward missing data and that would make sense thank u
