Default Replacement ECU and VATs Question

Hey guys - Question

If I were to grab a used PCM (12200411) for my 2002 Trans-Am, that would be from whatever, I found a few from S10's and Silverado's locally with same PN.
I have a buddy at GM that could load on the stock cal. file for my car and my VIN programmed in. Considering I have a VATS bypass resistor box installed, should this just be a plug and play deal after programming.

Rewriting a new full file to a p01 computer is one of the few cases where things really are as simple and easy as they appear. You should be ok.

Nice.

So the fact I have the key resistor thing in there, and PCM will be programmed with my VIN it should not have any starting issues, maybe just a CKP learn needed?

Reflash PCM Reinstall, VATS will function as it was previously with the vat bypass module handling all required functions.

You will have to have a scanner to rerun the CKP relearn procedure. It will have a dtc set for crank position relearn otherwise but it will still start and run.
