Brain scratcher here. 2006 gto
Previous owner swapped an ly6 block in it.
24x crank
1x cam gear.
I have no spark.
I have triple checked ckp wiring all holds a load. Cmp the same.
All grounds are good.
All ignition power circuits are good.
I get crankshaft rpm and camshaft rpm on my scanner. No engine rpm or engine speed. I’ve replaced the crank sensor with oem multiple times.
Am I looking at bad ecm ?
I’ve had help going through the process on another forum and the guy is a very knowledgeable guy.
wanted to put another brain or two together and see if I can’t figure this out.
on ignition coil control circuits I have no signal commanding coils to fire. Manually tested functionality and they do operate.
Vats is disable and car ran fine prior to spinning a bearing and having block replaced.
I pulled said new engine due to too many leaks, and wrong cam gear at first.
now that I’ve made sure it’s a 24x crank
1x cam gear
timing is set perfect etc.
im at a loss.
If you are getting crk n cam rpm (which scanner?), & no correlation errors then crk/cam sensors good & synching okay. Unclear what you mean by this if scan shows rpm : "" No engine rpm or engine speed""
Was VATS patch applied to OS before when it was running ok?
I don't understand how it can show sync along with crank/cam RPM but not show actual engine RPM when cranking. That just doesn't make sense...

when ecm is seeing crank rpm it’s not doing anything with it.
The shop before me had originally installed ly6 engine block and crank and swapped crank reluctor. From 58-24. My gut feeling is they installed improperly.
