DTC test: SES light, why?
Hello,
I have a SES light. I previously thought it was for my gutted cats, so I turned off the following codes:
P0137 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0138 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0140 HO2S Circuit Insufficiency Activity Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0141 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0157 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0158 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0160 HO2S Circuit Insufficiency Activity Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0161 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 1
P0430 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2
Anyways, I rewrote the program, SES light goes off; all good. Now, the light has come back on. I went and logged and found the following thru a DTC test:
P0405 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Position Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (SES) (Pending) (OLD) (History) (Current) (Immature)
Continuous Tests:
Misfire - Incomplete
Fuel System - Complete
Comprehensive Component - Complete
Once Per Trip Tests:
Catalyst - Incomplete
Heated Catalyst - n/a
Evaporative System - Complete
Secondary Air System - n/a
A/C System Refrigerant - n/a
Oxygen Sensor - Complete
Oxygen Sensor Heater - Complete
EGR System - Complete
My main concern is: P0405 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Position Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (SES) (Pending) (OLD) (History) (Current) (Immature)
Do I have an SES light because of a "Position Sensor Circuit Low Voltage"? If so, how do I fix this problem? If not, what might be the cause of the SES light? I blocked off egr, but I have it turned off in the editor.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Kyle

Do you just have the egr error turned off, or did you actually disable it completely by unchecking the box? Also, when you say you turned off the error codes did you just disable the ses error light or change it to no error reported?
