Service vehicle light and crank relearn. FWIW, I was reading posts in the last few weeks trying to glean any info on the service vehicle light. Well in my case, I had set an SES for a crank relearn. Since I don't know anyone with a TECH II or EFI Live, I took it to a decent dealer and they did the relearn today. Turns out the SERVICE VEHICLE light was coming on at idle ( multiple misfires ) BECAUSE I needed the crank relearn procedure. My point is I thought they were 2 different things going on. Thought I would share. Anyway, the car does run better after the relearn; in several posts people thought it didn't matter. When you replace the PCM, get the crank relearn. My car took 4 months with this PCM before it showed up as an issue BTW.
