ok, whats a nice brand/model basher laptop i can use for hptuners? i have no problems buying used off ebay. cheaper the better, 300 at the most.

i've tried searching quite a few word combos and not getting anything OR getting 25 pages of everything. and its ironic, but 'best' is too vague for the search engine.

i know i need a native serial port, which i assume is how it connects to the interface cable. i dont want to play doom3 on it or anything, but it'd be nice to be able to play dvds and store alot of mp3 and movie files. a tough or proven model is what i'm looking for. it would be nice to be able to charge it from the car, and is a certain o.s. more user friendly and less maintenence than any other?

feel free to call me a dumbass, i accept it. i've been on a mac for 10 or so years and only used them at school&work until i got a mac laptop for home. i've tried searching and looking at ebay but with something this simple its hard to find answers to really clueless questions.
