Thanks!

It looks like you have a label incorrect. I believe it's IAT(Intake Air Temp in ºC), not IAC (idle air control) you want for your current formula. It also assumes you're using a 346ci motor.

So you right-click on the cells, choose edit/open, import the data into excel, choose file:Update and then exit Excel and it puts it in the old window. What can I do with it from there? Will it build a sample VE table based upon the results?

Yeah link works now. Can't seem to make any sense of the results though. Not sure if I am using correct input data. Anyone care to post up some sample lines of data and explain what to do with the VE output value.
I used MAP, IAT, RPM and gm/sec logged using LS1 scan but get calculated VE values around 2E-11 to 9E-11

Anyone with some ideas of what to do with the results? This is the first time I begin toying with the VE table. I'm tring to find a good way to tune LTFT. I've already tuned the IFR now trying to concentrate on certain areas.

Did anything ever become of this?? Final version? Integration into an existing tuning product??

Theres no point, just tune the ve rather than plopping in a "calculated" what "should" work figure.

Tuning has come a LOOOOONG way in the 7 years since this thread was started

Thanks. Still learning about this sort of stuff, and that was exactly the answer I was looking for.

With the modern tools the VE can be calculated from the corrected MAF log...
i.e. the MAF can be corrected and the VE calculated from a single log.

It becomes a choice of which is easier to accomplish, directly correct the VE, or calculate it from the corrected MAF.

It does require correct dynamic air temperature modeling, meaning in most cases it is just easier to directly correct the VE.
