Default Basic tuning question

i have a 98 Z with some basic bolt ons.

charged up one credit card with the headers and stuff. just wondering how i should go about getting it tuned. does it usually cost alot of money ?? i have heard that dyno tunes run about 450 bucks

i do not have that type of cash now

i have also heard that after a header install that the car might be running rich. any way to tell of this ?? i have not noticed anything different with the car and gas mileage is about the same.

any one have any info on which tuning route i should take.

oh yeah, one more thing, since it is a 98, i do not have the luxury of having someone with a HPP3 or predator tune it right ??

both the hpp3 and predator lock to the vin, so you can only use the tuning on one vehicle at a time (predator costs $75 to reset, after putting first car back to stock)

most likely your fine, i put headers on my 98, and my gas milage is the same, i haven't had a change to throw it on the dyno yet, going to install the ls6 intake first.

Maybe there is a Chi-town HPTuners '98 F-body owner
who will help you out. Have you checked your local
section?
