HPT Normal Shift Settings
So if there is anyone that has an idea what parameter to tweak in HP Tuner I would be VERY thankful. I just got my HPT & looking at all these tables without knowing what most of them do is confusing. And the Help Files on HPT doesn't help much. They don't even explain what Throttle Cracker is.
Note: One of Jimmyblues posts led me to the Upshift Pressure Modifier table, and it's the same as a stock file I downloaded.

This table tells the PCM at what MPH to upshift based on how heavy you are on the gas... and it tells it at what MPH to downshift based on how heavy you are on the gas...
If you changed gears this table is prolly not ideal for the new gears, so you can modify manually or try scaling the table and seeing where you like it...
These tables define the shift speed under non-WOT conditions. Tables are provided for Normal, Performance, Cruise and when the transmission is Hot. The shift speeds control both upshifts and downshifts.
The throttle cracker parameters are used to open the IAC motor as vehicle operating conditions change.
Throttle Cracker Airflow vs. RPM vs. MPH: This table is used to open the IAC motor as RPM and MPH vary.
Enable Speed: MPH threshold to disable the adaptive idle and enable the throttle cracker.
Disable Speed: MPH threshold to enable the adaptive idle and disable the throttle cracker
Seems like they explained it... based on the values you set it opens the IAC motor at different times (RPMs) different amounts

my spreadsheet and scale all of the MPH by 0.834,
(3.42/4.10) and probably be pretty happy with it.

I guess with 1.5's new params it is a bit obsolete (none of
the new "*****" represented) but the stuff in there is all
pretty tweaked up for street behavior.
TPS% 0 6 12 19 25 31 37 44 50 56 62 69 75 81 87 94 100
1-2 shift 10 9 9 9 11 13 16 19 22 24 26 28 28 29 29 31 31
2-3 shift 13 13 16 17 20 24 29 35 39 43 48 51 54 56 58 62 64
3-4 shift 19 19 23 28 34 39 44 69 98 98 98 98 98 98 98 105 105
I tweaked the numbers to make them more linear, and was going to save them & load it into the car, but you just sent me in another direction. I'll look at that tonight.
I wonder why I didn't see that Throttle Cacker definition.....thanks Horist. That might be what is making my motor run @ 1500rpm above 5mph. Again, there is a funny hump in that table that I need to look at again & see if it lines up.
Oh, and that is a link to your Torque Mgmt table jimmy....

air, have a "hump" in them that corresponds to the EGR
active region. If you have EGR then they probably want
to stay lumpy but if EGR fell off then they probably
want smoothed, as well as the EGR function off-checked.
Not sure if you saw this jimmy: Oh, and that is a link to your Torque Mgmt table jimmy....
