SES codes.. header & catback
SES codes.. header & catback Wondering is there a way to find out what SES code is being thrown by the car without having one of the tuners? ie.. ls1edit, hp3, predator etc.
Next question:.. What might be causing the ses light to come on? Did Mac headers, catted y pipe, borla catback, changes plugs and wires.. had the above installed by a local shop about an hour away. Didn't get it tuned or dynoed.
The light didnt come on at first. Drove the car about 2-3 hours worth before having the light come on. Ill see if it comes on in the morning.
How serious of a problem can the ses light be if I keep driving it?

A lot of us have problems with both codes after header install..

Seems like no local shop here in pittsburgh has a "working" obd II scanner tool. Hehe and I dont know anyone with a tuner in the area. Seems folks from one of the local pitt forums feel that no one in the area can do good tuning anyways.
I know my knowledge of the car is no-where near what I would need it to be if I were to buy one of the expensive tuner devices and tinker around with it on my own.

Autozone wouldn't scan your car? Technically they're not supposed to clear the codes but they should at least scan it for free...
and don't count yourself out of the self tuning market
we all started off knowing nothing...
